The number of single family home permits sold has been on the rise for the past decade. In 2000 there were 2294 permits sold at an average price of $163,000. In 2001 the number went up to 2869 at a price of $160,900. Then, in 2002 the number decreased a bit to 2757 at an average price of $151,800. The year 2003 saw an increase to 3080 at an average price of $148,400 and 2004 saw 3494 homes built at an average price of$152,100. With the 2005 data the trend seems to continue upwards with 3681 new home permits sold at an average price of $147,400.
